My weekends are typically spent ferrying my children around from one activity to another, praying that I can find a car parking space along with the other 500 netball families at Downey Park in Brisbane each Saturday. Once I negotiate the perilous gauntlet of parking my car, fighting for a space with the other bedraggled families, I'm then left to drag a heavy camping chair, a bag full of netballs and bibs and water bottles 800 meters to the court. I'm tired just thinking about this.
Well, finally, the Captain chair is here to save the day - and your mental health. Yes, that's right. She is the answer to your prayers when it comes to weekend sport and I'll tell you why.
Years ago when I started the design process for the Captain chair, I was truly exhausted and exasperated by the current state of camping chairs. Not only were they very ugly, but honestly, so heavy to carry. This has broken my spirit again and again over the past few years and finally I have a solution for every tired woman.
Our luxury outdoor folding chair is very lightweight and incredibly easy to carry. It comes in a beautiful mesh quick-dry carry bag - that can fit other things too like towels, hats, water bottles, netballs - and has a shoulder strap so that your hands are free for other things. What's even more brilliant is after carrying your beautiful, lightweight outdoor chair to your court, you then have the thrill of sitting in her. She's cushioned, ergonomic and so bloody comfortable. She's like a warm hug from your nanna.
I've had the pleasure of sitting on The Captain chair over the past few months whilst at Downey Park each Saturday and it brings me so much joy. I look around at all the sad looking brown uncomfortable camping chairs and can't believe this has been our only option for so long. Not anymore. Weekend sport just got a whole lot more bearable - and comfortable. Keep your eye out for The Captain chair at Downey park next weekend. I'll be there with one and would love for you to give her a test run.
